TAX RETURN DUE BY JAN 31 2012?

You are a new client, hoping we might be able to help you meet the deadline

Our deadline for accepting applications for Tax Returns which we promise to submit on time by January 31st without additional fee is the last day of the preceding November. All Tax Returns are dealt with in the order we receive them, but if you have not presented all items required, then your application will be put on hold, and you will be moved back.

Once this date has passed we will accept late returns, on the basis that we will charge a late application fee of £50, and that whilst we will try our best, we cannot promise to meet the submission deadline. In this case, you may receive a fine from HMRC, and interest may begin to be added to your account from 1st February.

You can help to increase the likelihood of avoiding this by providing clear information to us. Whether you run a business or not we need to see all paperwork reflecting all items of income and expenditure raised or received between April 6th 2010 and April 5th 2011.

This includes invoices for works conducted or rent received and receipts for expenditure, proof of interest charged or paid, pension statements, share dividend certificates, etc. as well as supporting documentation such as bank statements. If there is a lot of work involved, and no formal bookkeeping has been carried out throughout the year, we will need to charge for the additional time taken.
